Birnbeck Pier and the Captain's Cabin from Anchor Head 20x30" (framed)

£550.00
Sold Out

I found a little sheltered niche overlooking the dilapidated Birnbeck Pier (destined for renovation since purchase by North Somerset Council). I was going to paint the Grand Pier, but 2 locals advised me this is more fetching. The Captain’s Cabin added to the scene with busy tables outside... There's something about brown estuarial water (as in Avon Gorge, and here in Weston further down the Bristol Channel) that I just love. Several friendly people stopped to chat, including a couple who'd got engaged on this very spot! Oil on 20x30" canvas on board, framed in a solid wood white bevelled frame approx 8cm deep.
